What To Look Forward To In Our 2024-2025 Season
8.29.2024

The 2024-2025 season has just opened and we at Madrid Euro Soccer Academy (MESA) are launching our best season yet. We are excited to bring our players, both new and old, a season full of intense practice, thrilling tournaments, in-depth coaching, and holistic development. Our commitment to molding complete modern soccer players drives us to improve our systems and approaches for the new season. We assure the parents and players who put their trust in us that bigger and better things are on the way.

Our Goal For The Season: Raise The Bar Even Higher

For the new season, we’re aiming for greater results and a stronger focus on individual development. In the last season, our MESA players were able to show major improvements and achieve significant wins against some well-known Madrid soccer academies, but we’re confident that we can do more for this season. That’s why we’re setting three goals for the season:

  • Developing players in at least 5 specific individual objectives: This could mean that a specific player will develop more in terms of defending and keeping ball possession, but a different player will improve their tactical understanding of a match. We will look at each players’ strengths and weaknesses to understand the best path for their individual developments.
  • Positioning our players in Spanish teams playing in even higher divisions: We want to put our players in the best position possible for their potential Spanish clubs. When they play, we want them to be able to experience tougher competition. Getting them into higher divisions will be the best way for them to develop and allow them to shine.
  • Compete at a higher level for our two main tournaments: As an Academy, MESA will also be competing in two different tournaments throughout the season. We are aiming for our best results yet and we will give our players the intense and dynamic training needed to reach that level.

The Tournament Schedule for the Season

MESA will be part of two major tournaments: the Copa Santa Fe in December and the Madrid Easter Cup in April. These two tournaments will pit MESA against some of the best academy teams in the country. Competition at this level is a crucial component of how we train our players. It is important that our players build towards these tournaments and thrive once they get to play in them.

On top of that, we have scheduled matches against two of the greatest clubs in Madrid: Atlético de Madrid and Getafe CF. These clubs represent some of the best that Madrid has to offer, and that includes their academy teams. Having our players compete against them tests their growth and abilities. Being able to rise against this level of competition is a crucial part of developing elite talent.

A Stronger MESA Team: Founded on Leadership and Bonded Like A Family

All this preparation means nothing if our players are not committed to the same goals. We need players who are willing to lead by example. The team leader has to be a  player who embodies all the MESA values, while also excelling at residency, study time, and fitness. The MESA staff and coaches will decide on which of the players to promote as a team leader after observing them on and off the pitch. On top of that, we want to strengthen our sense of family across all of our players. We are preparing exercises that will make the MESA family even stronger this season.

Evolving and Innovating Our Game Plan

Madrid Euro Soccer Academy is a constantly evolving program. Our commitment to improving our approaches on soccer means that each season will come with new developments and innovations.

There will be three key changes for the season:

  • Educational tutoring: Study time will be standardized across all players with a staff member overseeing and providing input when needed
  • Individual Goal Definition: The aim for each player is to achieve and develop in specific areas. Our coaching staff will plan and apply different techniques to help the players achieve these goals during the season.
  • MESA Support System: Head Coaches will work even closer to the players in the upcoming season from tactical meetings to practices and overseeing their immersion with their Spanish team.

We believe giving more attention to the individual growth of players will help them develop better. On top of this, we will also record practice sessions and our coaches will track player improvements across their different Spanish teams. This will let us see if a player’s individual goals for a season are being met.

There are many exciting changes coming up for the new season. Bigger challenges and greater opportunities to grow are ahead of them. We will support all of our players through it, guiding them to become better players and people.
